Glossary
Ledger
A record of all financial transactions for a specific account (e.g. Resident Safe, Household Tin).
Tin / Safe
Physical cash storage. A 'tin' is typically a smaller float; a 'safe' is secured storage for larger amounts.
Direct Spend
A purchase made and recorded immediately with a receipt.
Money Advance
Cash given out in advance of a purchase. Stays pending until the receipt and any change are returned.
Variance
The difference between the expected system balance and the actual physical count.
Daily Check
A routine count of all tins and safes, compared against the system balances.
TL Audit
A weekly review by a Team Leader verifying that daily checks, receipts, and transactions are correct.
Manager Audit
A monthly full audit by a Manager covering all accounts and compliance items.
Enabled Ledgers
Account types that are active for a service or resident. Disabled types are hidden from balance checks.
Compliance Dashboard
A summary view showing whether checks and audits are on schedule.
